Ideal® Buttercream Frosting

Convert to Metric

6 TBS (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, softened
2 c Ideal® Confectionery
3 TBS fat-free milk
1 tsp pure vanilla extract


  1. Beat butter in medium bowl until creamy.
  2. Add Ideal® Confectionery, gradually alternating with milk until frosting reaches desired consistency for spreading.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract.

Frosting Ideas

add 1/2 teaspoon coffee extract with the vanilla
Chocolate: combine 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder with Ideal® Confectionery plus 2 tablespoons hot water
Lemon: replace milk with fresh lemon juice and 1 teaspoon lemon zest, minced fine
Orange: replace milk with fresh orange juice and 1 teaspoon orange zest, minced fine
Sour Cream: add 3 tablespoons sour cream with the butter and beat until creamy
